New Mercedes-Benz CLS-Class gets teased again prior world debut
The new Mercedes-Benz CLS-Class has been already teased by the German luxury auto major before, more than once. Now, Mercedes-Benz has gone ahead and teased its new CLS-Class once again just before unveiling it at the upcoming 2017 Los Angeles Auto Show. The 2019 Mercedes-Benz CLS-Class has been teased this time in a short video revealing more styling elements. The new official teaser offers a glimpse of the vehicle’s front facade and also its fastback roofline that makes it offer a coupe-like stance.
One of the most prominent exterior styling features of the new 2019 CLS that has been revealed by the new teaser are the car’s headlights that have apparently taken design inspiration from the company’s latest concept models including the Concept A-Class. The other primary design details which have been revealed include the new stylized radiator grille that flaunts the German luxury car giant’s three-pointed star insignia. The company logo is flanked by a pair of chrome strips along with a mesh pattern surrounding it, and this styling element makes the car follow the design language that are flaunted by the Mercedes sporty models.
The latest teaser video also reveals the very familiar sloping roofline of the new 2019 Mercedes CLS-Class. The coupe-like swoopy roof would help the model to keep its styling and distinctive appeal intact. When the rear design is concerned, the new CLS-Class has been endowed with sleeker and thinner tail lights which are similar to those that are seen on the other Merc models such as the C-Class, E-Class, S-Class and cabriolets.
The new 2019 Mercedes-Benz CLS-Class is not only going to look more stylish and alluring on the outside, but is also expected to be more attractive on the inside. The new CLS-Class’ cabin is expected to get a range of changes and updates to carry on the fresh new appeal on the inside as well. A lot of new added features are expected as well.
When the under the hood mechanical specifications are concerned, Mercedes-Benz is likely to endow the new CLS-Class with a range of new engines to offer improved performance. The new range of motors is thought to include a 3.0 liter I-6 in three versions namely - supercharged, turbocharged and an electrified one. Moreover, the 2019 CLS-Class will also come with various suspension systems. Apart from the standard suspension system, the new model will be available in two other types of air suspension systems. Amongst these two new suspensions, one will be featuring the company’s Air Body Control system, which has been tuned to offer enhanced ride and handling.
The new 2019 Mercedes-Benz CLS-Class will be making its official world premiere at the 2017 Los Angeles Auto Show, where most of the details will be revealed. The car is expected to launch in the global markets sometime by mid-2018. The new CLS-Class is expected to hit the car market of the U.S. in the month of July next year.
