In terms of dimensions, the Fortuner is larger than the Hector Plus. So it will have a better road presence than the Hector Plus.

For the petrol powertrain, Hector Pluss engine offers more torque and better torque-to-weight ratio. So, it’ll offer much better drivability than the Fortuners.

For the diesel engine, the Fortuners engine offers more torque, but the torque-to-weight ratio of the two cars is similar. So, they’ll both offer similar in-gear acceleration at low RPMs.
