The new S-Class is offered with petrol and diesel engines. The petrol engine on offer is a 3.0-litre unit that makes 367PS and 500Nm and a 3.0-litre diesel engine that makes 330PS and 700Nm. Both the engines are mated to a 9-speed AT and a 4MATIC 4WD system. 

Is The 2021 Mercedes Benz S-Class Underpowered?

Although we are yet to drive the new sedan, looking at the numbers and since the new sedan is more powerful than its predecessor, it should not be underpowered by any means. While the earlier S-Class was last offered with S 350 d diesel engine the new S-Class gets a bigger a more powerful S 400 d diesel engine. It also gets a new S 450 petrol engine which should be powerful enough to lug the sedan effortlessly.
