Maruti Suzuki Baleno is 3995mm long, 1745mm wide, 1510mm tall and has a wheelbase of 2520mm. A wider body normally results in better shoulder room and a higher roof makes ingress & egress easier. A longer wheelbase usually results in more cabin space. It has a boot space of 339 litre. A larger boot allows you to carry more luggage. Baleno has a 170mm ground clearance, it rides on 195/55 R16 tyres size and has 37 litres fuel tank capacity.

    • Maruti Suzuki Baleno has an overall length of 3995mm, which makes it the longest car in the segment.
    • Tata Altroz is the widest car in the segment. It is 10mm wider than Baleno.
    • Ford Freestyle is the tallest car in the segment. It is 60mm taller than Baleno.
    • Hyundai i20 has the longest wheelbase in the segment. Its wheelbase is longer than the Baleno’s by 50mm.
    • Honda Jazz has the biggest boot space in the segment. It has 15-lt more boot space than the Baleno.
    • Ford Freestyle's ground clearance of 190mm is the best in the segment.

In terms of dimensions, there is no clear winner as all cars in the B2 hatchback segment have comparable dimensions.

Amongst all the B2 hatchbacks, Freestyle has the highest ground clearance, so it should be the last car to bottom-out on uneven roads. Jazz has the biggest boot in the segment, so it can carry maximum luggage. But as far as cabin space is concerned, there’s no clear winner since dimensions of most of the cars in this segment are comparable.
