Maruti Suzuki Dzire is available with a 1.2L hybrid petrol engine with a 5-speed manual and a 5-speed AMT type automatic transmission. The power and torque output of this engine are 90PS and 113Nm, respectively.

  • Hyundai Aura 1.0 turbo produces 100PS of power. It is the most powerful engine in the segment, with 10PS more power than Dzire 1.2 hybrid petrol.
  • Hyundai Aura 1.0 turbo produces 172Nm of peak torque. It has the best torque figures in the segment.
  • With a manual transmission, Maruti Suzuki Dzire has the best fuel-efficiency figure of 23.26kmpl.
  • With automatic transmission, Maruti Suzuki Dzire has the best fuel-efficiency figure of 24.12kmpl.

Hyundai Aura 1.0 Turbo Petrol engine has the best torque-to-weight ratio in this segment. So it will offer better driveability compared to all other cars.

It’s no surprise though as the Dzire has a hybrid petrol engine and Maruti Suzuki has always made frugal engines with class-leading fuel efficiency figures. In terms of performance, though, the Aura turbo blows everything out of the water. Its massive torque band covers the bottom and mid-range of the rev band and there’s nothing else in this class that can even come close to matching the Aura turbo’s performance. While the Maruti Suzuki Dzire has an exceptionally efficient engine, the Aura has an exceptionally torquey and powerful petrol engine.
