Carmakers invest a lot in promotional activities of their new car models, and among all promotional activities digital, print and television commercials are the most common. The spy cameras often get to gave a good look at a soon to launch model when it is being shot for TVCs, and the same has happened to the second generation Honda Amaze. The all new 2018 Honda Amaze subcompact sedan has been spotted when it was busy shooting for its television commercial, as it is preparing hard for its India launch in May, 2018.
The Japanese auto major officially took the wraps off the new generation Honda Amaze at the Auto Expo 2018 in February. The Amaze has been an important product for Honda Cars India, and this time around, it is understood that the company is betting big on the new-gen Honda Amaze. The second generation of the sub-4 meter sedan has come with an entirely new design language and much more premium look and feel to it in order to refresh the appeal of the car and impress the young Indian car buyers. The authorized Honda dealerships in India have already started registering the pre-launch bookings of the new Amaze.
The all new Honda Amaze sedan has come with a new more stylish and bolder styling language. The car now comes with a more stylish front fascia and rear design, which fixes the issue of the previous-gen car’s boring rear design. The rear facade of the new Amaze does retain some styling elements, but offers a much smarter visual appeal.
The new model flaunts a new larger radiator grille with chrome finish which makes it look similar to the Honda City. The new-gen model also gets a tweaked side profile and gets a slightly lower roofline, which could make the car more aerodynamic than before. At the 2018 Auto Expo, the all new Amaze was displayed in a new shade of red, which accentuated the more premium and stylish looks of the car.
The new Amaze also seems to have grown a bit and comes with a better street presence. The new stylish also gives the impression that it would offer better interior space and cargo capacity.
The all improved look and feel of the all new 2018 Honda Amaze continues on the inside as well, as the cabin has been overhauled premium materials and finish, as an answer to the criticized interiors of the first-gen model. The range topping trims of the new Amaze will offer a large touchscreen infotainment system along with Digipad.
The new-gen Amaze is based on a new platform and is one of the first models to flaunt Honda's new design language. The 2018 Amaze will continue to come in both petrol and diesel versions. The petrol trims will come with optional CVT gearbox.
The outgoing Honda Amaze comes equipped with a 1.2L petrol and a 1.5L diesel engines. The new-gen Amaze will be offered with the same engine options as well. The new-gen Honda Amaze will continue to fight with the likes of the segment ruler Maruti Suzuki Dzire, Hyundai Xcent and the likes.
