The Indian car market is always abuzz with new car model launches, and this year has been full of exciting launches so far. The last few months of the current year and next year are also expected to witness a lot of new car launches in India from various global companies.
Here are the top 6 upcoming car launches that have been spied recently and are expected to hit the Indian car market soon:
All new Mercedes-Benz CLA
The next generation Mercedes-Benz CLA is likely to get design cues from the recently introduced A-Class sedan and CLS-Class. The new CLA is based on the new MFA platform and flaunts the wedge-shaped design. The new-gen model is likely to share its cabin with the A-Class and come equipped with the latest MBUX infotainment unit. The new-gen CLA is expected to be offered with a regular diesel version along with a petrol engine option.
Mercedes-Benz S-Class
The new S-Class sedan has been spied very recently. The new model of the flagship Merc sedan is likely to boast of Level-2 autonomy. The new model will get endowed with new features as well as improved safety equipments. Moreover, the new S-Class will also offer enhanced performance and around 50 kms of full electric driving range.
Mercedes-Benz GLE
Another all new model from the house of Mercedes-Benz, the GLE has been also spotted very recently and its interior has been spied as well. The next-gen GLE shared styling cues with the S-Class. It is based on the new MRA platform, which is likely to offer a roomier cabin. The new model’s exterior design is likely to get a full overhaul with a bolder and sharper styling as compared to the ongoing model. The new GLE is likely to be unveiled later this year, while market launch will take place next year.
Audi Q3
The new model of the Audi Q3 luxury SUV has been also spotted last month wearing very less minimal veils. The new Q3 is likely to be underpinned on Volkswagen’s highly familiar MQB platform. As per the speculations the new model will grow in size in terms of length and width to offer more spacious interior. It is also likely to come with a plug-in hybrid variant.
BMW 7 Series
The 7 Series sedan’s upgrade has been overdue and now, the new model has been spied testing in Germany recently. The BMW flagship sedan’s upcoming facelift model will reportedly flaunt an intimidating grille, sleeker headlights, new bumpers and restyled LED tail lights for a meaner visual appeal. The updated 7 Series is likely to launch in global markets in early next year, while its India launch is expected only towards the end of 2019.
Hyundai QXI
Hyundai is preparing its first subcompact SUV model - the QXI. The brand new SUV is based on the Carlino concept that was showcased at the 2016 Auto Expo. The test prototype of the small SUV was recently spied in the US alongside the Kia Soul. The Hyundai QXI is likely to share some interior styling and features with the Creta and the Grand i10. It is slated to launch in India next year.
