In terms of powertrain, the MG Hector offers a 1.5-liter turbocharged petrol engine that generates a maximum power output of 142 bhp along with 250 Nm of peak torque. The petrol motor gets paired with a 6- speed manual and a DCT automatic transmission option. Also, the MG Hector will offer a market first 1.5-liter petrol-hybrid powertrain choice, offering the same power and torque figures the regular petrol powertrain version. It will be paired only with a 6- speed manual transmission. The diesel variants of the Hector will come equipped with the Fiat-sourced 2.0-litre Multijet diesel engine that pumps out a maximum power output of 167 bhp and 350 Nm of torque. The engine is equipped with a 6- speed manual transmission.
Talking about the Hyundai Tucson, the SUV comes powered by a 2.0-liter petrol engine capable of producing 152.88 bhp of maximum power and 192 nm of peak torque mated to a 5- Speed manual as well as a 4- Speed automatic gearbox. On the other hand, the diesel variants get a 2.0-liter motor churning out 182.46 bhp of power and 400 nm of torque. The engine also comes paired with the same a 5- Speed manual as well as a 4- Speed automatic transmission option.
