MG Hector is one of the premium SUVs in India. The advanced bookings for the SUV are already started from 4th June at the authorized dealerships across the country.
The production of the Hector has already started at the brand's assembling plant in Halol, Gujarat that has an underlying limit of 80,000 units. According to the company, The MG Hector is India's first internet car and has been built with a high level of localization and comes power-packed with features, inside-out.

Also, the MG Hector will offer a market first 1.5-liter petrol- hybrid powertrain choice, offering the same power and torque figures the regular petrol powertrain version. It will be paired only with a 6- speed manual transmission. The diesel variants of the Hector will come equipped with the Fiat-sourced 2.0-litre Multijet diesel engine that pumps out a maximum power output of 167 bhp and 350 Nm of torque. The engine is equipped with a 6- speed manual transmission.

The VW Tiguan comes powered by a 2.0-liter diesel engine that makes 141 bhp of maximum power and 340 Nm of peak torque. Power is sent to all four wheels of the SUV via a 7-speed DSG gearbox. However, the German automaker doesn’t offer any petrol engine with the Tiguan and both the variants come powered by the same motor.
