Honda Cars India recently launched the new updated 2018 Honda Jazz premium hatchback model in the domestic market at a starting price tag of Rs. 7.35 lakhs (ex-showroom Delhi). The Honda Jazz facelift comes with a range of new additional features to fight better with its contenders in the highly competitive Indian car market.
Honda Cars India has also revised the new 2018 Jazz’s lineup, and the car is now available in only 3 trim variants, namely - S, V and VX. The updated Jazz lineup pricing starts at Rs. 7.35 lakhs for the base 'S' variant, and goes up to Rs. 9.29 lakhs for the top of the range 'VX' trim (prices are ex-showroom Delhi).
Now, interestingly, the base Jazz S model trim is available only with diesel engine that is mated to a manual transmission. On the other hand, the V and VX trims come in both petrol and diesel engine options, while only the petrol engine variants of both the trims come with CVT automatic gearbox option.
As a facelift model, the 2018 Honda Jazz gets no under the hood update and gets powered by the same 88 bhp 1.2L petrol engine and the 98 bhp 1.5L diesel engines. The petrol engine gets mated to a 5-speed manual or a CVT gearbox option, while the oil burner gets only a 6 speed manual transmission.

Well, there are no significant exterior styling updates of the Honda Jazz facelift, but there are some minor changes. These mild cosmetic updates include the new chrome finished door handles on the ‘V' and ‘VX' trims, while the top-end ‘VX' trim also gets Honda's patent LED rear lights. The base S trim doesn’t get any exterior updates.
The 2018 Jazz facelift now comes endowed with a 6.9 inch advanced touchscreen infotainment system. This new infotainment system has integrated audio, video and navigation features. Moreover, the new refreshed Jazz also gets the Digipad 2.0 with Bluetooth audio, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto support and the screen also doubles up the reverse camera display.
Other Interior Features
On top of all the standard features on the Jazz, the new updated model comes with some additional features. The added new features include smart key system, pushbutton start/stop system with illumination, cruise control, a front centre armrest and driver’s side vanity mirror. The premium hatchback now gets improved cabin insulation for a better silent cabin experience.
The Honda Jazz facelift also comes with enhanced safety measures. On top of the standard safety features like dual front SRS airbags, ABS and EBD, the new updated model also gets a range of new added safety features such as rear parking sensors and speed sensing door locks.
The new updated 2018 Jazz now comes with 2 new body colour options, namely - Lunar Silver Metallic and Radiant Red Metallic, apart from the existing color options of White Orchid Pearl, Modern Steel Metallic and Golden Brown Metallic.
