    Tata launched the Harrier SUV this year in the Indian market. The SUV was a standout model amongst the other foreseen models from Tata Motors. The SUV is available in four variants- XE, XM, XT and XZ and is extremely close to the H5X concept Tata had shown at the 2018 auto expo. The SUV is available in 5 exterior shades - Calisto Cooper, Ariel Silver, Thermistor Gold, Telesto Grey, and Orcus White.

    Known for its distinctive styling highlights and loads of features, Hyundai Creta is a quite popular name in the SUV segment. The Creta SUV is available in six variants - E, E+, S, SX, SX (O) and SX (O) Executive. The SUV is available in a number of color options including Polar White, Star Dust, Phantom Black, Polar White/ Phantom Black, Marina Blue, Passion Orange, Passion Orange/ Phantom Black, Fiery Red, and Typhoon Silver.

    The Hyundai Creta is a 5 seater SUV and has a length of 4270 mm, width of 1780 mm, height ranging between 1630 mm to 1665 mm, a wheelbase of 2590 mm and 198 mm of ground clearance as compared to Tata Harrier’s 4598 mm length, 1894 mm of width, 1,706 mm of height, 2,741 mm of wheelbase and 200 mm of ground clearance. According to the dimension, the Tata Harrier stands longer, wider, taller offering a larger wheelbase and better ground clearance as compared to the Korean SUV.

    Petrol Engine Specs  

    The Hyundai Creta comes loaded with a number of power train options including a 1.4-liter diesel engine generates 89 bhp of power and 220 Nm of torque. The 1.6-liter diesel, on the other hand, generates 126 bhp of power and 260 Nm of torque. The 1.6-liter petrol engine generates 122 bhp of power and 151 Nm of torque. The smaller diesel engine is limited to a manual transmission, while the bigger diesel is available in manual and automatic options.

    In terms of powertrain, the Tata Harrier is powered by a 2.0-liter 4-cylinder turbo-diesel engine that churns out 138 bhp of power and 350 Nm of torque. It is the same engine that also powers the Jeep Compass with a higher state of tune. Tata offers the Harrier with a 6-speed manual transmission only, while an AMT version is under production. The manufacturer doesn’t offer the petrol engine option with the Harrier.
