Toyota Glanza Vs Maruti Suzuki Baleno: Styling Comparison

The Toyota Glanza looks almost identical to the Maruti Baleno except for the front grille design. The Glanza gets a triple chrome-slat grille instead of the Baleno’s black mesh pattern unit. Apart from this, of course, these two cars flaunt different monikers and company logos. Essentially both the cars look exactly the same on the outside and feature the same exterior color choices as well.

On the inside as well, the two cars are very much the same with the same multi-function steering wheel and 7-inch touchscreen integrated infotainment system. The Glanza is equipped with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto support like the Baleno and is the first Toyota car in India to offer these connectivity options.

Due to the different badges, the Glanza’s infotainment unit is called the ‘Smart Playcast’ instead of the SmartPlay studio on the Baleno. Both cars also offer telematics services from their respective companies. The Glanza gets Toyota Connect, while the Baleno gets Suzuki Connect.

Toyota Glanza Vs Maruti Suzuki Baleno: Value For Money

In terms of value for money, the Toyota Glanza is better over the comparable Maruti Baleno mild-hybrid model, as it is Rs. 65,000 more affordable. However, it is to be noted that the Glanza’s pricing is introductory, so might be hiked up soon after.

Toyota Glanza also comes with a 3 year/1,00000 km warranty as compared against the 2 years/40,000 km warranty of the Maruti Suzuki Baleno. The Glanza offers a 5year/2.20 lakh km warranty as against the Baleno’s 5year/1 lakh km warranty. Moreover, Toyota is also offering free 3-year roadside assistance on the Glanza. This added peace of mind and additional services further up the value for money proposition of the Toyota Glanza.
