South Korean car maker, Ssangyong is very aggressive when it comes to new model launches and will be releasing a new armada of vehicles over the coming three years’ time. SsangYoung which is now undertaken by the Indian auto major Mahindra & Mahindra, has been growing in the international markets. Company was planning to bring Hyundai Creta rival for long that would be fully loaded with features but at the same time will be true value for money SUV. Sources have confirmed that Ssangyong will bring Tivoli SUV to India to take on category leader Hyundai Creta.
The Ssangyong Tivoli, when launched, will offer good value for money package and will give a tough fight to more expensive Creta. The new 2017 Ssangyong Tivoli will offer safety features as standard fitments on all the trims, except the entry level trim. The new 2017 Tivoli will come equipped with automatic emergency braking (AEB) system, lane-keeping assist and lane departure warning system. This safety equipment will ensure that the new 2017 Ssangyong Tivoli gets a 4 star Euro NCAP rating as against the 3 star rating of its rivals.
Tivoli's top of the range ELX trim will be endowed with many goodies like satellite navigation, automatic lights, rain sensing wipers, adjustable steering wheel, infotainment system, front and rear parking sensors.
The Tivoli will offer a very roomy cabin to accommodate the occupants comfortably. It shall have one of the largest boot spaces in its segment. Thus, this Korean SUV will be great in terms of space, equipments, pricing, practicality and also much better safety quotient. However, many experts from other markets believe that it does not offer a great drive experience but they say ride quality is decent on most surfaces as Tivoli offers good amount of jolts on rough roads and while crossing speed bumpers.
The Ssangyong Tivoli will come with both petrol and diesel choices. The petrol and diesel version will be powered by a 1.6L mill with transmission options that would include a 6 speed manual unit and a pricier Mini sourced automatic gearbox.
On the whole, the Ssangyong Tivoli SUV is expected to be an impressive value for money package. With its features, space and safety equipments can clearly compete with likes of Hyundai Creta in Indian market.
