    What Is The Price Of The 2020 Hyundai Aura Diesel?

    The Aura diesel is available in a total of 3 variants, namely - S, SX Plus and SX Optional. The Aura’s diesel-manual powertrain is available in S and SX Optional variants only, while the automatic version is available in S and SX Plus variants.

    The Aura diesel manual prices start at Rs 7.80 lakh, while the top diesel-manual variant is priced at Rs 9.10 lakh. The Aura diesel automatic comes equipped with an AMT type transmission, and the S variant with this powertrain is priced at Rs 8.29 lakh. The SX+ AMT is tagged at Rs 9.28 lakh (all prices, ex-showroom).

    What Are The Engine Specifications Of The 2020 Hyundai Aura Diesel?

    The Aura’s 1.2L diesel engine delivers a maximum power of 75PS and peak torque of 190Nm. In this segment, the most powerful diesel engine comes under the hood of the Ford Aspire, which generates 100PS of maximum power and 215Nm of peak torque. When the rest of the rival models in this segment are concerned, then the Honda Amaze also offers 100PS of power, but a bit less torque at 200Nm. In terms of fuel efficiency, the Aura’s claimed fuel efficiency exceeds all its rivals in the segment at 25.35kmpl.

    The Aura comes equipped with an AMT and the Honda Amaze gets a CVT type automatic transmission. The Ford Aspire does not have diesel-automatic powertrain yet. 

    In this segment, among the diesel-automatic models, the Amaze is more powerful but Aura offers better torque. The Aura offers the highest claimed fuel efficiency among the diesel-automatic models in the segment.

    The Aura and all its rivals measure just under the 4m mark in terms of length. The Aura’s length is comparable to all its rivals in the segment, but it has the least width among the three. In the absence of Dzire and Tigor, the Aspire is the widest and tallest car in the segment at 1704mm and 1525mm, respectively. The Aspire also boasts the largest wheelbase compared to all its competitors, at 2490mm. The Amaze has the largest boot space among all in this segment. Lastly, the Aspire has the biggest fuel tank, while the Amaze has the smallest.

    Hyundai Aura Variant Wise Features 


    Aura S Variant 

    S is the base variant in the Hyundai Aura diesel range. The Aura S offers all the basic safety features that a modern-day car is expected to offer. Its features list includes - Dual Front Airbags, ABS with EBD, Reverse Parking Sensors, Seatbelt Reminder and Speed Alert System. Apart from these standard features, Aura also offers Emergency Stop Signal, which gets activated in case of extreme braking. The Aura also gets driver and passenger side seat belt pretensioners and load limiters; moreover, there’s also ISOFIX seat anchorage for those who have small children and use child seats.

    You will also get additional safety features in the S variant, such as Central Locking, Front Projector Fog Lamps, Rear Defogger, Day & Night Adjustable IRVM, Speed Sensing Auto Door Lock and Impact Sensing Auto Door Unlock. There’s also a headlamp escort function, which turns the headlamps on automatically for some time upon door lock and unlock, so that you get a view of the road ahead of the car.

    For the sake of entertainment, the S variant comes with an audio system with integrated radio along with Bluetooth and USB connectivity, and steering mounted audio and Bluetooth controls. This audio system comes with 4 speakers.

    When functional features are concerned, the S variant comes with remote central locking, tilt adjust steering, height adjustable driver seat and electrically adjustable ORVMs, Front and Rear Power Windows, Power Outlet and Room lamps. There are bottle holders on all doors, Manual AC, Tachometer and Cooled glove box as well in this variant. 

    Apart from these, there are additional features for the rear passengers as well, such as: Rear AC Vents, Adjustable Rear Seat Headrest and Rear Armrest w/ Cup Holder.

    In terms of styling features, the S variant offers silver finished front grille, LED DRLs, Chrome Garnish at the rear, Z-shaped LED Taillamps, 14-inch wheels with full wheel covers, and body coloured Bumpers, Door handles and ORVMs, and blacked-out B-Pillar. The interior features a 2-tone grey colour scheme, while the dashboard features Honeycomb Pattern in bronze colour.

    The Aura diesel S offers all the basic contemporary features. Hence, buyers that are on a budget can certainly go for it.
