Hyundai Grand i10 Nios Variant-wise Features
Era Variant
The Nios’ base variant - Era is priced at Rs 5.07 lakh. This variant offers only basic features and its functional features list is also not impressive. You only get front power windows, front and rear bottle holders and front power outlet.
The Nios Era also looks pretty stripped from the outside as well, as it gets black ORVMs and door handles, and doesn’t come with wheel covers either. The following table offers you a look at the features of the Nios Era variant:

Some of the missing basic features in the Era variant include Day/Night IRVM, Music System, Central Locking and Rear Power Windows; because of the missing must-have features, we would not recommend the base Era variant and would suggest that you consider a higher variant of the Nios.
Magna Variant
The Nios Magna is Rs 85,000 more expensive than the Era variant. This additional premium will get you added safety, entertainment, functional as well as style features.

The Magna variant offers the added safety features such as: Central Locking, Day/Night IRVM, Passenger-side Seatbelt Pretensioners and Impact Sensing Auto Door Unlock. It also offers a music system along with steering-mounted audio controls.
This variant’s important additional functional features are: Tilt Steering, Rear AC Vents, Rear Power Windows, Electrically Adjustable ORVMs and Height-adjustable Driver Seat.
The Magna’s exterior visual appeal is better than that of the Era’s, as it gets body-coloured door handles and ORVMs, wheel covers as well as DRLs. The following table has all the added feature details of the Nios Magna variant:

It is worth noting that with the Magna AMT variant, you also get foldable ORVMS with integrated turn indicators. According to our internal data, the Nios Magna variant’s added premium is fully justified by its extra features. In case of the AMT version, the Magna is the base variant and it covers mostly all must-have features. However, we would still recommend that you consider going for the higher Corporate Edition instead of Magna, in case of both manual and AMT.
Corporate Edition
The Nios Corporate Edition is around Rs 19,000 more expensive than the Magna variant, and this is true in case of both manual and AMT type transmission options.
The Corporate Edition variant’s key additional features include -- touchscreen infotainment system, electrically foldable ORVMs, air purifier, anti-bacterial and anti-fungal seat fabric, 15-inch styled steel wheels and ORVM integrated turn indicators. You can check all the additional features of the Nios Corporate Edition in the table below:

For its additional features, the added premium of Rs 19,000 of the Corporate Edition is completely justified. As this amount is not considerably higher than the Magna’s price, we would recommend all buyers who are eyeing the Magna variant to go for the Corporate Edition variant instead. The added features of this variant would improve your ownership experience for considerably less added premium.
Sportz Variant
The Nios Sportz variant with manual transmission is around Rs 35,000 more expensive than the Corporate Edition, while with the AMT type transmission it is Rs 42,000 costlier.

This variant’s added key safety features include - projector fog lamps, rear parking camera and rear defogger. The entertainment features of the Sportz variant include an 8-inch touchscreen display and an automatic AC as well. In terms of style, the Sportz variant offers a digital speedometer, roof rails, 14-inch alloy wheels and shark-fin antenna. It is also important to note that the Sportz AMT variant also adds the feature of projector headlamps. The following table offers all the additional features details of the Nios Sportz variant:

According to our internal data, the Nios Sportz variant’s additional features easily justify the additional asking amount of Rs 42,000. Particularly in case of manual transmission, the Sportz variant is more value for money than the Corporate Edition. Thus, we would recommend that you choose the Sportz variant if you can, because this variant will significantly enhance your ownership experience.

The dual-tone Sportz will also offer some additional features including 15-inch Machined Alloy Wheels, Projector Headlamps, Black Interior w/ Coloured Inserts, Leather-wrapped Steering and Wireless Phone Charger.

The Nios Sportz also comes with a more powerful 1.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine. Its monotone version is around Rs 1.25 lakh costlier, while the dual-tone version is Rs 1 lakh more expensive.
We think that this powertrain option is on the expensive side. However, this engine’s performance is significantly better than the regular petrol engine. Thus, if you wish to go for the Nios Turbo for its exclusivity and performance, then you definitely can, albeit there’s a premium to be paid.
Asta variant
The Nios Asta manual is Rs 75,000 more expensive than the Sportz monotone, while the AMT version is around Rs 64,000 costlier.

The Asta is the top variant and over Sportz, it offers safety features like projector headlamps, rear wiper and washer. Its 4 added key functional features are - Wireless Phone Charger, Keyless Entry w/ Push-button Start/Stop, Cooled Glovebox and Adjustable Rear Headrests.
This variant’s added style features include 15-inch machined alloy wheels that are one size bigger than the Sportz’. It also offers chrome door handles and leather-wrapped steering. All the added features of the Nios Asta are listed in the table below:

According to our internal data, the Nios Asta is expensive compared to both the Sportz and Sportz dual tone. The extra features of the Asta variant do not justify the price increment. A few of the Asta variant’s features are included in the Sportz dual tone variant, but some important features like Rear Wiper & Washer, Keyless Entry w/ Push-button Start/Stop and Adjustable Rear Headrests are only available in the Asta. Although these features can enhance your overall ownership experience, we still think that these features can be compromised for the value-for-money proposition.
Which Variant Of The 2020 Hyundai Grand i10 Nios Petrol Should You Buy?
In case of the 2020 Hyundai Grand i10 Nios petrol-manual, all the variants over the base Era variant justify their value.
However, among these, the Sportz variant is our top recommendation. The Nios Sportz variant covers all the must-have features while also adding in some good-to-have features. It also offers the best value-for-money proposition. It is Rs 35,000 more expensive over the Corporate Edition, which is not a big amount, and we feel that this variant will offer you a good overall ownership experience. This is because this variant offers features like rear parking camera, rear defogger and auto AC.
If you don’t wish to spend the additional Rs 35,000 at all, then you can also settle for the Corporate Edition, as this is the variant that we suggest that you at least go for in the Nios range.
We do not recommend the top Asta variant over the Sportz and Sportz Dual Tone variants, as it does not justify its additional premium with its added features.

We do not recommend the Magna and Asta variants in the Nios AMT range, so you may overlook them.

Colour Options Of The 2020 Hyundai Grand i10 Nios
The Grand i10 Nios is available for sale in 6 monotone exterior colour options, namely - White, Silver, Grey, Red, Blue and Aqua Teal, which is a dark sea green shade. We like the Blue shade best among these. The Nios also comes in 3 dual tone exterior colour scheme options: Aqua Teal, White and Red with contrasting black roof. Among these only the Nios TURBO variant features the red-black dual colour scheme.
