The new-gen Dzire sedan is likely to come with a strong hybrid powertrain alongside the regular petrol engine. The strong hybrid petrol engine in the new Dzire is likely to be a size smaller than that in the Grand Vitara SUV. A couple of rumours even suggest that its fuel efficiency could be close to 35kmpl. For reference, the heavier Grand Vitara offers a claimed fuel efficiency of 27.97kmpl with its 1.5L strong hybrid petrol engine.

Maruti Suzuki New-Gen Dzire Expected Specs

The specifications of the new-gen Dzire are yet to come out. Like we stated earlier, it could pack a strong hybrid powertrain with an impressive fuel efficiency figure. Alongside the strong hybrid petrol engine, Maruti may continue to offer the Dzire with the current 1.2L normal petrol engine. This petrol engine produces 90PS of power and 113Nm of torque. It gets 2 transmission options – 5-speed manual and a 5-speed automated manual transmission (AMT).

Maruti Suzuki New-Gen Dzire Rivals

The Dzire is a B2-segment compact sedan and the new-gen model is likely to feature similar dimensions. The new-gen Dzire will continue to rival other compact sedans in its class like the Hyundai Aura, Honda Amaze and Tata Tigor.

Maruti Suzuki New-Gen Dzire Launch Timeline

We expect Maruti Suzuki to showcase the new-gen Dzire at the 2023 Auto Expo in concept or pre-production form. The current-gen Dzire was launched in India back in 2017 and it received a facelift and a new engine in 2020. Following the conventional life cycle of a product, the Dzire should receive a generation change in early- or mid-2023. Hence, we can expect Maruti Suzuki to at least showcase the concept version of the new-gen Dzire at the auto show, given that the Auto Expo is making a comeback after a hiatus of 3 years.

Maruti Suzuki New-Gen Dzire Expected Price

It’s way too early to talk about the expected prices of the new-gen Dzire. If we were to share a rough estimate, the new-gen Dzire is likely to be priced from Rs. 6.5 lakh to Rs.10.5 lakh ex-showroom.
