Maruti Suzuki YTB (Baleno Cross) Expected Launch Timeline

Maruti Suzuki are all set to unveil the YTB (Baleno Cross) on January 12. Ahead of its global unveil, we share the estimated launch timeline for the upcoming crossover.

Maruti Suzuki YTB (Baleno Cross) Expected Launch Timeline

While Maruti Suzuki will unveil the YTB (Baleno Cross) tomorrow, we expect the launch to take place in October 2023. Meanwhile, Maruti Suzuki will launch the Jimny 5 door in April 2023. Maruti Suzuki launched a slew of cars in the year 2022 and for 2023, we expect Maruti to launch the Jimny 5 door, the YTB and a couple of CNG-powered cars like the Brezza CNG. We expect Maruti Suzuki to launch the YTB (Baleno Cross) during the 2023 festive offering.

Maruti Suzuki YTB Design Details

While the Maruti Suzuki YTB will be based on the Baleno hatchback, it will take design inspiration from the new Grand Vitara. Up front, the new YTB will come with a split headlight design accompanied by a large chrome grille. Additionally, the YTB is likely to offer a new set of alloy wheels along with a raised ride height. At the rear, we do not expect much changes. It will continue to come with a split LED tail lights design like the Baleno.

Maruti Suzuki YTB Interior And Features

On the inside, we do not expect the YTB to bring any big changes over the Baleno. It is likely to come with a 9.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Additional features could include a head-up display, automatic climate control, cruise control, automatic headlights, 360 degree parking camera and an auto-dimming IRVM.

Maruti Suzuki YTB Powertrain Details

Maruti Suzuki are likely to reintroduce the 1.0L turbo petrol engine from the discontinued Baleno RS with the new YTB. In the Baleno RS, this engine offered 102PS of power and 150Nm of torque and it came with a 5-speed manual transmission. We expect the YTB to offer a similar power and torque output to go up against the Tata Punch, Nissan Magnite turbo and Renault Kiger turbo.

Maruti Suzuki YTB Rivals

Maruti Suzuki are likely to slot the YTB between the Baleno and Brezza. It will rival affordable B2-segment SUVs such as the Tata Punch, Citroen C3, Renault Kiger and Nissan Magnite.
