Most Notable Features Of Tata Motors Altroz EV

Tata Altroz EV is set to become the latest EV from Tata Motors. Tata Motors first showcased the Altroz EV concept at the 2020 Auto Expo and it resembled its petrol-powered counterpart. The Altroz EV is likely to be India’s first all-electric premium hatchback and it is likely to offer several premium features.

Tata Motors Altroz EV Expected Specs

We expect Tata Motors to offer a 28kWh battery pack with the Altroz EV. Therefore, it will slot perfectly between the Tiago EV and Nexon EV Prime. The Tiago EV comes with 2 battery pack options — 19.2kWh and 24kWh — and the Nexon also comes with 2 battery pack options — 30.2kWh and 40.5kWh. We won’t be surprised if Tata Motors offer a choice of 2 battery packs with the Altroz EV as well. In terms of specifications, the Altroz EV could produce over 120PS of power and 240Nm of torque.

Tata Motors Altroz EV Rivals

Tata Altroz falls in the B2-segment and rivals other premium hatchbacks like the Hyundai i20, Honda Jazz, Maruti Suzuki Baleno and Toyota Glanza. The Altroz EV could be the first all-electric hatchback in its segment and it will sit above the Tiago EV and Tigor EV in the brand’s portfolio.

Tata Motors Altroz EV Launch Timeline

As we stated earlier, Tata Motors showcased the Altroz EV concept at the 2020 Auto Expo and after a break of 3 years, Tata Motors are likely to showcase the production version of the Altroz EV. With the showcase likely to take place at the auto show, its launch could take place in late 2023.

Tata Motors Altroz EV Expected Price

We expect Tata Motors to price the Altroz EV in the range of Rs. 12.27 lakh and Rs. 14.40 lakh ex-showroom.
