Top 5 Features Of 2026 Honda ZR-V You Should Know About | V3Cars
Honda are set to introduce the 2026 ZR-V in India as a premium, full-import SUV positioned above the Elevate. The new ZR-V will serve as a brand-builder and rival C2-segment SUVs such as the Volkswagen Taigun R-Line and Skoda Kodiaq. The ZR-V is expected to offer a strong feature set that aligns with its expected Rs. 45-50 lakh (ex-showroom) price range.
Here are the expected top features of upcoming Honda ZR-V.
1. Strong Hybrid Powertrain (e:HEV)
The India-bound ZR-V is expected to come with a 2L strong hybrid powertrain mated to an electronic continuously variable automatic transmission (eCVT). This setup produces 180PS of peak power and 240Nm of torque and prioritises efficiency and smooth performance, especially in city driving conditions where the electric motor silently does most of the work.

Based on the global specifications of the ZR-V, we expect the Honda SUV to offer a claimed mileage of over 17kmpl. This would make it considerably more efficient than the Tiguan R-Line (12.58kmpl) and Kodiaq (14.86kmpl), both of which focus on outright performance over efficiency with a quick-shifting 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission (DCT).
2. ADAS Suite (Honda Sensing)
We expect the 2026 ZRV to offer Honda’s advanced driver assistance system – Honda Sensing – as standard. It includes features like:
- Adaptive cruise control
- Lane keep assist
- Collision mitigation braking

In comparison, the Tiguan R-Line offers ADAS (Level 2) while the Kodiaq does not offer ADAS at the moment.

3. Premium Interior Layout With Large Screens
The ZR-V’s cabin takes a more minimalist, horizontal layout approach, similar to the Elevate and City. Expect clean dashboard lines, soft-touch materials and a premium overall finish that clearly positions it above the Elevate.
The ZR-V is expected to offer a 9-inch freestanding touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, connected car tech and a 12-speaker Bose audio system.

As for its rivals, the Taigun R-Line offers a 10.1-inch touchscreen while the Kodiaq offers a larger 13-inch unit in the top 2 variants. The Taigun R-Line comes equipped with 8 speakers while the Kodiaq offers 9 speakers in its base variant and 13 speakers and a subwoofer in its top 2 variants.
While not segment-leading in size, Honda’s touchscreen systems are known for reliability and usability, which is something buyers value more than gimmicks.
The ZR-V will also offer a 10.25-inch fully digital instrument cluster similar to its rivals. We expect this unit to offer configurable layouts and display key driving information in a clean and modern format.
4. Dual-Zone Climate Control And Heated Seats
The India-spec ZR-V is expected to offer dual-zone automatic climate control along with powered and heated front seats and a heated steering wheel function. While ventilated seats would have been more desirable for Indian conditions, heated seats could come in handy during harsh winter months.
In comparison, the Taigun R-Line and Kodiaq offer a 3-zone automatic climate control. The Taigun R-Line further offers manually-adjustable and heated front seats with massage function. The Kodiaq’s top Selection L&K variant, on the other hand, offers both ventilated and heated front seats with massage function and a thigh support extender.

5. Panoramic Sunroof And Powered Tailgate
Like its rivals, the upcoming ZRV will offer a large, openable panoramic sunroof. The ZRV will also offer an electronically-operated tailgate, which is a feature that the Kodiaq offers but the Taigun R-Line does not.

While the ZR-V offers a solid feature list, it is not class-leading on paper. However, that’s not the point. Its real strength lies in combining the efficiency of a strong hybrid powertrain with proven tech and premium build quality into a cohesive package. If priced aggressively for a CBU, it could appeal to a niche set of buyers looking beyond the German and Czech options.
