In this April 2022 Tata cars sales analysis article, we’ll look at the car sales of Tata Motors for the previous month. We’ll also compare the YoY and MoM change to find out which Tata cars sales are improving and which ones are declining.
April 2022 - Tata Car Sales Figures - YoY Change
- The Nexon is the volume car in Tata Motors’ portfolio with the Punch following closely in the second spot
- The Nexon and Punch are the only 2 cars in Tata’s portfolio with a 5-figure monthly sales figure while the Tiago is in the distant 3rd position
- Most of Tata’s cars witnessed YoY growth in April 2022 with SUVs showing signs of growth highlighting Tata’s strong performance in the SUV segment
- The Tigor and Nexon are the top performers with 133.7% and 94% YoY growth
- Altroz and Tiago are the only 2 losers and they lost about 36% and 24% YoY in April hinting at the possibility of Tata’s weakening grip in the hatchback segment
- YoY change for the Punch is not available as it wasn’t on sale in April 2021
April 2022 - Tata Car Sales Figures - MoM Change
- In terms of MoM change, almost all cars witnessed some drop
- Tiago and Harrier are the top gainers with 26.5% and 11.8% MoM improvement
- Among top losers are Altroz and Safari posting a decline of 9.75% and 7%, respectively
