Exclusive: Maruti Brezza CNG To Get ESC, HSA | V3Cars

According to a leaked internal document, Maruti Suzuki will soon reintroduce Electronic Stability Control (ESC) and Hill Start Assist (HSA) in the Brezza CNG variants. These features were initially available with the Brezza CNG variants. About a year ago, when Maruti Suzuki removed mild-hybrid tech from the petrol-manual variants, they also removed these features from the CNG variants.

What We Don’t Know

There are still 2 things we still don't know:

  1. When Maruti Suzuki will introduce these features in production batches
  2. If Maruti Suzuki will revise the prices to accommodate the additional production cost

Our guess is that the reintroduction of these features in the CNG variants will not result in any price change. And, we may see delivery of cars with these features at dealerships sometime in May 2024.

You can stay tuned to V3Cars.com to stay on top of these developments. We’ll bring them to you as soon we get any update from our source on this matter.

More Information

According to the source, Maruti Suzuki will also start offering self-centering steering wheel function in the Brezza.

Front Armrest No Longer A Luxury

In other news, the new Mahindra XUV 3XO addresses a concern Maruti Suzuki, Tata and many other small SUV manufacturers are yet to address in their vehicles. The new Brezza brings the much awaited sunroof feature to the buyers but even in the fairly expensive ZXI variant with sunroof, you don’t get a basic feature like front centre armrest.

Reference ex-showroom prices:

  • Brezza ZXI petrol-manual: Rs. 11.15 lakh
  • Brezza ZXI CNG-manual: Rs. 12.10 lakh
  • Brezza ZXI petrol-automatic: Rs. 12.55 lakh

Meanwhile, the newly introduced XUV3XO gets this feature as standard even in the base variant, which costs Rs. 7.49 lakh (ex-showroom). Stay tuned for more coverage, variant-wise breakdown and buying recommendations on the Mahindra XUV 3XO. Let us know in the comments your thoughts on the importance of a front centre armrest.
