Maruti Victoris 2025 — Variant-wise Expected Price; With Logic | V3Cars

In this 2025 Maruti Victoris price expectation article, we will present the most likely ex-showroom prices of each and every variant-powertrain combination of the Victoris 2025. We will also present our logic and important considerations gone into estimating the variant-wise prices of the upcoming Victoris SUV from Maruti.

2025 Maruti Victoris Price Expectations — With Logic

Let’s start with setting the stage for price range.

Positioning

We know that Maruti Suzuki position the Nexa line of vehicles as a premium alternative to their Arena lineup. This suggests that Nexa cars should generally command a higher price. However, that’s not entirely true as some Arena cars, such as Brezza, Swift & Ertiga appear quite expensive compared to the the rivals and for what they offer.

Still, in this case, we believe that in the overall Maruti product food chain, the Vitara will sit above the Victoris. Because, here, the two cars have a significant overlap in terms of features, performance, size and buyer base.

Besides, it’s not like the Vitara is selling like crazy. It is moving off the shelf all on its own. There’s some help from Maruti in the form of discounts to move the stock piling up at the dealerships with discounts stretching beyond Rs. 2.0 lakh.

New Brand

Maruti’s Swift, Eeco, Dzire, Brezza, Ertiga, Baleno, Vitara, they don’t need an introduction. They are successful brands. But they didn’t become successful on day one — the way Fronx got lucky. These products, when they were new, brought unique value propositions to the table and attracted buyers from other cars.

Hence, an attractive starting price is critical for the success of the Victoris.

GST Cut

Then, there’s the point of GST cut. The Vitara starts out around Rs. 11.50 lakh (ex-sh). With a few percentage points knocked off, it will likely drop down to around Rs. 11.0 lakh.

For the Victoris, we can assume that Maruti will bring the Victoris according to the new tax structure, regardless of when it comes into effect. Maintaining a Rs. 1.0 lakh price discount compared to the Vitara suggests that they may price the Victoris base model at Rs. 10.0 lakh.

Hybrid

Given Maruti and Toyota’s interest in making hybrids popular, we should expect them to make them more affordable. Affordability will improve demand and higher demand will warrant higher production, which will require Maruti/Toyota to place larger orders with their suppliers, which will allow them to negotiate a lower price for components. Hence, cheaper hybrids.

So, we should expect the entire range to top out at Rs. 19.0 lakh, which is about Rs. 1.5 lakh cheaper than the Grand Vitara hybrid top model.

Powertrain Premiums

For the mid-spec variants, the pricing will depend on the feature spread, which we have estimated separately. As for the powertrain premium, automatic will cost Rs. 1.40 lakh higher than petrol-manual; as is the case with all other cars in Maruti portfolio with the 6-speed automatic. Since the top model gets exclusive ADAS features, we can expect it to cost about Rs. 2.0 lakh more than petrol-manual

The 4WD petrol-automatic could cost Rs. 1.0 lakh more than the 2WD petrol-automatic. For the hybrid, we expect Maruti to ask for a premium of Rs. 1.60 lakh - Rs. 2.60 lakh. These will help them challenge the onslaught of EVs in the similar price brand.

Maruti Victoris’ Bullseye

The Victoris will certainly eat into the Vitara’s sales but more importantly, it will eat into certain higher variants of the B2 segment SUVs. It will demolish beyond all scope of recovery, the low volume C-segment SUVs such as Skoda Kushaq, Volkswagen Taigun, Tata Curvv & MG Astor.

Maruti Victoris Expected Price Range

We expect the Victoris to cost between Rs. 10.0 lakh and Rs. 19.0 lakh (ex-showroom). The petrol-manual variants could cost between Rs. 10.0 lakh and Rs. 16.0 lakh.

The petrol-automatic range could start from Rs. 12.40 lakh and go up to Rs. 18.0 lakh. The 2 4WD petrol-automatic variants — ZXI Plus and ZXI Plus (O) could cost Rs. 18.40 lakh and Rs. 19.40 lakh, respectively.

For the buyers interested in lower running costs, the 3 CNG variants may cost between Rs. 11.0 lakh and Rs. 14.0 lakh. Lastly, the Victoris hybrid petrol variants may start at Rs. 15.0 lakh and top out at Rs. 19.0 lakh (ex-showroom).
