Mercedes EQS 580 Bags 300+ Confirmed Orders | V3Cars

Mercedes-Benz recently launched the EQS 580 with a price tag of Rs. 1.55 crore ex-showroom. Within weeks from its launch, the EQS 580 has bagged over 300 confirmed orders. Mercedes-Benz India will begin deliveries of the EQS 580 in early 2023.

Mercedes-Benz have announced their sales report for the last 3 quarters of 2022. The German carmaker has surpassed its sales of CY2021 within the first 3 quarters of CY2022. Mercedes-Benz India sold 11,469 vehicles from January to September 2022. The GLE and GLS SUVs contributed 30% of all sales. Currently, Mercedes-Benz India have an order bank of 7,000 vehicles.

Mercedes EQS 580 Bookings

While the new EQS has garnered good interest, the E-Class continues to remain the best-selling luxury car in the country. The new E-Class is also the best-selling single model in Mercedes-Benz India’s portfolio. India is the only market to get the right-hand-drive configuration of the E-Class long wheelbase (LWB).

Bookings for the EQS 580 are currently open for a token amount of Rs. 25 lakh. Buyers can book the EQS from the website and also complete the buying process by Mercedes’ retail of the future platform. The EQS 580 comes with a 107.8kWh battery pack that channels power to all 4 wheels. The twin electric motors in the EQS 580 produce 523PS of power and 855Nm of torque.

Mercedes Sales

Mercedes-Benz India also offer the EQS 53 AMG, which offers 761PS of power and 1020Nm of torque. Extending its EV portfolio, the German carmaker has also confirmed the EQB family electric crossover for late 2022. We expect Mercedes-Benz India to launch the EQB after the festive season and price it below the EQC electric crossover.
