2026 Nissan Gravite CNG Launched With Twin-Cylinder Kit; Prices Start At Rs. 83k For Retrofitment | V3Cars

Nissan have launched a government-approved CNG retrofitment kit for the 2026 Gravite MPV, priced at Rs. 82,999 (introductory). The highlight of this update is a segment-first twin-cylinder setup that allows the Gravite to retain its full 7-seat usability. The kit is now available across 60 cities in 16 states via authorised dealerships.

What Makes 2026 Gravite CNG Different?

Unlike traditional single-cylinder CNG setups that eat into boot space, the Gravite uses a dual-cylinder (2 x 25L) layout. This packaging ensures the 3rd row remains usable, making it one of the few CNG options in its segment that doesn’t compromise on practicality.

This is a key differentiator over its sibling, the Renault Triber, which is also offered with a dealer-level CNG kit but uses a single-cylinder layout that reduces luggage space significantly.

The Gravite CNG kit is developed and quality-assured by Motozen and comes with a 3-year or 1 lakh km warranty on kit components. Customers can order the CNG kit installation via Nissan authorised dealers. However, like the Triber CNG, Nissan haven’t revealed the power and torque figures of the 1L normal petrol engine when running on CNG.

With rising fuel costs, the Gravite CNG targets high-mileage users, especially families, who need a practical 7-seater without the running cost burden of petrol. The twin-cylinder setup makes it particularly appealing in CNG-heavy markets, where buyers often have to choose between efficiency and usability.

What’s Next For The Gravite?

Renault have confirmed that the Triber will receive a factory-fitted CNG option with a similar twin-cylinder layout mounted under the boot floor. It will also receive the 1L turbo petrol engine from the Kiger and Duster. This update is expected around the 2026 festive season, when the Triber switches from the current CMF-A platform to the modified Renault Group Entry Platform (R-GEP).

Given that the Triber and Gravite are essentially the same cars with different badges, we expect the Gravite to receive a similar factory-fitted CNG solution, turbo petrol engine and platform update around the same time.
