Land Rover have taken the wraps off of the most-powerful Range Rover ever — the Sport SV. The new Range Rover Sport SV ditches the 5.0L supercharged V8 in favour of a new BMW-sourced 4.4L twin-turbocharged V8 petrol engine. Read on to know more details about the 2023 Land Rover Range Rover Sport SV.

The latest Range Rover Sport SV makes use of a 4.4L twin-turbocharged V8 petrol engine mated to a mild-hybrid system. The new engine produces 635PS of power and 750Nm of torque, which are 60PS and 50Nm more than the earlier 5.0L supercharged V8. Thanks to the added performance, the Sport SV can do 0-100kmph in just 3.6 seconds and touch a top speed of 290kmph.

To achieve that impressive acceleration, Land Rover have shed a good amount of weight off of the Range Rover Sport SV. Its new 23-inch carbon-fibre alloy wheels, which is a first for any any car in the world, weigh 76kg less than the standard alloy wheels. The new Range Rover Sport SV also makes use of carbon ceramic brakes for the first time for enhanced braking performance. The new hydraulic dynamic rear suspension also ensures maximum stability at high speeds, acceleration and braking.

The Range Rover Sport SV features a couple of changes over the regular models for a racier stance. To start with, its front grille and other exterior trim pieces are now finished in gloss black. The front bumper now boasts larger air intakes to feed cool air to the engine and enhance cooling. Around the side, the Range Rover Sport SV sits lower to the ground, anywhere between 10mm to 25mm lower than the regular model depending on the driving mode. At the rear, the Range Rover Sport SV gets blacked out Range Rover lettering, an SV badge on the tailgate and quad exhaust pipes.

On the inside, the Range Rover Sport SV packs a couple of cosmetic and functional updates. The dashboard boasts the updated curved infotainment system, which is responsible for customising all the drive and chassis tuning. The updated SV steering wheel features thicker leather wrap and translucent paddle shifters with edge lighting. The Range Rover Sport SV also gets the new SV sport seats with integrated headrests, illuminated SV lighting and integrated speakers for an impressive aural experience.
