Rosmerta Launched Road Safety Comic Book

Here’s what Rosmerta Technologies Limited have to say about the launch of The Curious Bunch:

Rosmerta Technologies Limited, India’s leading mobility solutions provider and a long-standing advocate of road safety, today launched “The Curious Bunch”, a comic book for children, at the 3rd Edition of the CII National Conclave on Road Safety held at the India Habitat Centre, New Delhi. The initiative reflects the company’s belief that sustainable road safety begins with shaping responsible behaviour at an early age.

India continues to face a significant road safety challenge. Despite progress in recent years, road accidents remain a serious concern. The Government of India has adopted a comprehensive strategy built around the 4Es of road safety — Engineering, Education, Enforcement and Emergency Care. Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways, Shri Nitin Gadkari, has reiterated that achieving the 2030 target will require systemic reforms, technology adoption and sustained public awareness.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Rajesh Mohan, DCP, Gurugram Traffic, said

“When we educate children and instill strong moral and ethical values, the impact travels far beyond the classroom. Children naturally share what they learn. They question, they explain, and they influence conversations at home. In many ways, they become powerful advocates, encouraging their parents to be more aware, more responsible, and more engaged. Over time, this awareness translates into action, because parents are also drivers, commuters, and decision-makers on the road.

There is a perception that road safety is too complex to fix — that with so many variables involved, from infrastructure to enforcement to driver behaviour, meaningful change is out of reach. I firmly believe that is not true. Most road fatalities are preventable if we follow the rules and act responsibly. Change begins with awareness, and when that awareness starts early, it has the power to reshape behaviour across generations.”

While infrastructure and enforcement measures continue to evolve, education remains central to long-term road safety outcomes. Responsible road behaviour is shaped early, and children play a meaningful role in influencing attitudes within families and communities.

Ravi Krishnamoorthi, Group President, Rosmerta Technologies, said:

“Every road accident statistic hides a parent’s anxiety. In 2022 alone, India reported over 1.68 lakh road accident fatalities, according to government data. Road safety is not merely about compliance; it is about compassion and collective responsibility. When a child understands why a red light matters or why a helmet can save a life, they don’t just learn a rule — they become ambassadors of safety within their families and communities. Through ‘The Curious Bunch’, we aim to nurture this awareness early, because the habits we shape in children today will define the safety culture of our nation tomorrow.”

Rosmerta has supported India’s road safety mission through technology-driven systems that enhance compliance, accountability and transparent driver evaluation. Its initiatives, including automated driving test assessments and AI-enabled monitoring solutions, contribute to safer licensing practices and responsible driving behaviour. With the launch of “The Curious Bunch”, the company extends its efforts to the education pillar of the 4E framework.

Designed as an illustrated and engaging learning tool, “The Curious Bunch” presents everyday road scenarios in a simple and relatable manner. It covers pedestrian safety, school bus conduct, traffic signals, helmet and seatbelt usage, and the importance of child restraint systems, aiming to make safe behaviour understandable, memorable and practical for young readers.

The comic was released following the Special Plenary Session on “Road Safety and Children as Brand Ambassadors” at the conclave, reinforcing the role of children in shaping safer communities.

The CII National Conclave brought together policymakers, infrastructure leaders, technology experts and industry stakeholders to discuss collaborative strategies for safer roads by 2030. The launch of “The Curious Bunch” aligned with the conclave’s broader emphasis on integrating engineering, enforcement and education to achieve sustainable safety outcomes.
