Top 7 Low-Budget Cars With Best Boot Space Under 5 Lakh
Here’s a list of 7 cars you can buy for under Rs 5.0 lakh (ex-showroom) with the best boot space.

Please note that this list also includes some variants or models, which are just Rs. 20,000 - 25,000 higher than Rs. 5.0 lakh. This will help those buyers who are okay with stretching the budget a little bit. We also haven’t, included CNG variants as there’s no official information about their boot capacity after the inclusion of the CNG tank. Moreover, the cylinder leaves very little space in the trunk, making it pretty much unusable.
1. Datsun Go Plus - 347 L
The first car on the list is the bigger brother of the Datsun Go. The Go Plus has space for 2 extra occupants, but when you fold that last row seatback, you get 347 litres of boot space. It’s not exactly massive, but for the price, this is ginormous. If you find the base D variant too basic, then you can consider the A trim, which has some must-have features.

2. Maruti Suzuki Arena WagonR - 341 L
In the second spot, we have the Maruti Suzuki Arena WagonR. This car needs no advertisement. It sells itself and continues selling on autopilot. After the generation update, the WagonR provides 341 litres of boot space. It’s surprising because it shares the frame with the Ignis, which has considerably smaller cargo space.

Almost all of its variants cost under Rs. 5.0 lakh. It’s excellent for first-time car buyers as well as those considering a second car for intra-city runs.

5. Maruti Suzuki Nexa Ignis - 267 L
Only the base Sigma variant of the Ignis makes it to our list as it’s the only one with a sub-Rs. 5 lakh price tag. But, if you’re okay with installing some accessories from the aftermarket, then the Ignis is also considering. It gives you good boot space, Maruti brand value, reliable powertrains and ubiquitous service centres.

The Datsun Go also makes its way onto the list with its 265-litre boot size. It’s a little bit shorter than the Go Plus, and it shows in the cargo capacity, but if you don’t foresee using the extra row of seats, then choosing the Go over the Glo Plus can save you some cash.
