The Hyundai Venue has managed to garner 50,000 orders in 60 days of commencement of bookings. The car was launched in India on 9 July and bookings had opened before that. Hyundai claims that the Venue is the fastest to reach the 50,000 booking milestone. In the official release, the carmaker has revealed that it has already delivered 18,000 of the 50,000 Venue cars that have been booked.
If Hyundai continues to deliver cars at the same rate (around 900 cars per day), those who have booked the car already will get their Venue delivered by September.
Until now, every second Venue that Hyundai has delivered is either in the SX DCT variant or the SX (O) variant. Both these variants are equipped with connected car tech (Blue Link). Of the overall bookings that Hyundai has received for the Venue, 35% buyers have opted for the automatic transmission (DCT).
Hyundai offers the dual-clutch automatic transmission with the 1.0-litre engine of the Venue. This transmission is available in two variants -- S and SX. The Venue is otherwise available in four variants and its prices start from Rs 6.5 lakh and go up to Rs 11.10 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).
In India, the Venue competes against the likes of the Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza, Honda WR-V, Tata Nexon and Mahindra XUV300.
