2026 Honda City Facelift Top Features Explained – Bigger Screen, Ventilated Seats, 360 Camera & More | V3Cars

The Honda City has received a comprehensive update for 2026 with refreshed styling, new comfort features and improved technology. With prices starting from Rs. 12 lakh (ex-showroom), the 2026 City facelift aims to strengthen its appeal against rivals like the Hyundai Verna, Volkswagen Virtus and Skoda Slavia.

2026 Honda City Facelift Top 10 Features

While the facelift does not bring major mechanical changes, Honda have focused on adding features buyers have been demanding the most. Here are the top features of the 2026 City facelift.

1. New 10.1-inch Touchscreen With Wireless Android Auto & Apple CarPlay

One of the biggest upgrades in the 2026 City facelift is the new 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system. Honda say the display is around 65% larger than the outgoing unit. The new infotainment system continues to support wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, while the floating design also gives the dashboard a more contemporary appearance.

Although the new 10.1-inch touchscreen is a welcome change over the previous 8-inch screen, it no longer offers physical buttons for navigating through the menus. Also, while the older City’s 8-inch screen sat nearly flush with the dashboard, the City facelift’s free-floating unit tilts upward, which could cause reflections and glare under direct sunlight

2. Front Ventilated Seats

Ventilated front seats are finally available in the 2026 City, making this one of the most significant comfort upgrades in the facelift. This feature has become increasingly popular in India, especially in hot and humid climates and this addition should improve daily comfort for buyers using the car regularly in urban traffic conditions.

3. New 360-Degree Camera With Honda LaneWatch

Honda have added a new 360-degree camera system to the City facelift for improved parking convenience and visibility in tight spaces. Interestingly, the sedan continues to offer Honda’s LaneWatch camera system as well. Since the left ORVM camera has been retained alongside the new 360-degree camera setup, the City now offers both systems together, something which is unique in the segment.

4. All-LED Lighting Standard Across Variants

The updated City now gets all-LED lighting as standard across the range. Honda claim the new bi-LED headlamps offer twice the illumination spread and reach compared to the previous model.

At the rear, new clear-lens LED tail lamps give the sedan a sportier and slightly more premium appearance. Combined with the revised bumpers, the facelift looks sharper than before.

5. New Ambient Lighting Package

Honda have also added more ambient lighting to improve the cabin experience. The dashboard and the area below the touchscreen now feature subtle blue illumination, while the centre console and footwell areas also get lighting elements.

This addition helps the cabin feel more premium during night driving and gives the City a more upmarket ambience.

6. Improved Hybrid Fuel Efficiency

The Honda City e:HEV strong hybrid continues with the same combined output of 126PS and 253Nm, but Honda have marginally improved the claimed mileage figure from 27.13kmpl to 27.26kmpl.

The City Hybrid also retains its ability to run in pure EV mode at speeds between 0-40kmph under suitable conditions, helping improve fuel savings in city traffic.

7. New Dual-Tone 16-inch Alloy Wheels

The City facelift now gets redesigned 16-inch alloy wheels with a dual-tone finish. The new design complements the sedan’s updated styling and gives it a slightly sportier stance.

8. Ivory White Interior Theme

Honda have retained the ivory white cabin theme for the facelift, which helps the interior feel more airy and premium. Additionally, Honda have replaced the faux wood panel on the dashboard with a satin silver trim for a sportier, more youthful look.

It’s worth pointing out that chauffeur-driven owners may still find the lack of adjustable rear headrests disappointing. While the rear seat continues to offer a foldable armrest with cup holders, adjustable rear headrests are still missing from the package.

9. 6 Airbags Standard Across The Range

The 2026 City facelift continues to offer 6 airbags as standard across all variants, improving safety value across the lineup. ADAS is offered from the mid V variant onwards.

10. New Black Exterior Colour Option

Responding to customer demand, Honda have finally introduced a black exterior colour option for the City facelift. The new shade enhances the sedan’s sporty appearance and complements the updated styling elements particularly well. Like before, the City sedan is available in a total of 6 colour options as Honda are no longer offering the brown exterior colour option.
