The E-Tron was Audi’s first all-electric model and its already over 2 years old. Over the years, the E-Tron received a few small updates. However, Audi are now set to replace the E-Tron SUV and E-Tron Sportback with the new Q8 E-Tron and Q8 E-Tron Sportback. Audi will reveal the new Q8 E-Tron and Q8 E-Tron Sportback on November 9.

Audi have dropped the teaser images of the Q8 E-Tron and Q8 E-Tron Sportback, which reveal the silhouette of both the models. While the regular bodystyle carries a crossover design, the Sportback model gets a sloping roofline. Both the models feature connected LED tail lights. Looking at the teaser images, we do not expect Audi to offer drastic changes in terms of exterior design over the existing E-Tron range.

The biggest change over the previous models is likely to be in the battery pack and powertrain department. With the new models, we expect Audi to offer bigger battery packs with better range. Currently, the E-Tron comes with 2 battery pack choices — 71kWh with 341km range and 95kWh with 440km range. With the 55 Quattro option, the E-Tron offers 360PS of power and 664Nm of torque. Audi India offer the E-Tron with both 50 and 55 Quattro options whereas the E-Tron Sportback comes with the 55 Quattro as standard.
Audi Q8 E-Tron could also offer updated interiors with richer materials and new technology. We expect a new MMI system with twin touchscreens and Audi’s latest iteration of the Virtual Cockpit. It remains to be seen whether the Q8 E-Tron models grow in terms of size or stick to the same dimensions as the existing E-Tron.

With the global debut set to happen on November 9, we can expect Audi to bring the new Q8 E-Tron and Q8 E-Tron Sportback models to our shores in late 2023. Currently, Audi India offer the E-Tron SUV and E-Tron Sportback models and these compete with other electric SUVs like the BMW iX, Mercedes-Benz EQC, Jaguar I-Pace and Volvo XC40 Recharge.
