Hyundai RN22e

Hyundai recently revealed the Ioniq 6, one of the most aerodynamic cars in the world. As the RN22e is based on the Ioniq 6, we think that it could be called the Ioniq 6 N upon launch. While the Ioniq 6 will produce 325PS of power, the RN22e in its concept form produces 585PS of power, which is identical to the Kia EV6 GT.

The RN22e will be the first true high-performance vehicle based on the E-GMP platform. With this concept, Hyundai aim to find ways to reduce weight and explore torque vectoring and power distribution in the platform. The RN22e also uses four-piston callipers for better braking. It also wears a rear spoiler for more downforce and better cornering.

Hyundai N Vision 74

The N Vision 74 is a retro-modern, 2-door, rear-wheel drive, hybrid sports car. It has a very sharp and edgy design, similar to the Ioniq 5. This design pays homage to the 1974 Hyundai Pony concept. Do note that even the Ioniq 5 took its design cues from the Pony. The N Vision 74 uses a hybrid powertrain of hydrogen fuel cells and electric batteries.

The N Vision 74 gets two electric motors mounted on the rear axle, making it a rear-wheel drive-only car. This hybrid setup produces a combined output of 680PS of power and 900Nm of torque. It also gets torque vectoring for better cornering. The setup helps in better cooling of the system and enhanced range. Hyundai claim a range of 600km with the N Vision 74, given that the battery is charged and the hydrogen tank is filled.

What does Hyundai have to say?

"RN22e and N Vision 74 play an important role in the strategic development of our entire product lineup, especially our electrified, high-performance vehicles," said Thomas Schemera, Hyundai executive vice president and head of the customer experience division. "Rolling labs represent the continuous development of our most advanced technologies. This unique approach makes us ready for the challenges of the future by empowering us to push ourselves to the limit," he added.
