The top model of the MG Hector with the turbo petrol engine and manual transmission costs Rs. 17.7 lakh and it costs Rs. 18.7 lakh with the automatic. The Hector Sharp diesel only gets a manual transmission and it costs Rs. 19.21 lakh, which is about Rs. 1.5 lakh more than the petrol.

The MG Hector’s top model gets 1.5-litre turbo petrol and 2.0-litre turbo diesel engine options. The turbo petrol gets 3 transmission options - a 6-speed manual, a CVT automatic and a 6-speed DCT automatic. The Hector diesel gets only a 6-speed manual transmission.

The Hector petrol makes 143PS of power and 250Nm of torque while its diesel engine makes 170PS of power and 350Nm of torque.
