In this Kia Carens vs Maruti Suzuki Brezza comparison, we’ll look at the variant-wise prices, engine specs and dimensions to help you decide which car you should buy.

Let’s first look at the prices of both the cars for the petrol-manual powertrain.
With the petrol-manual powertrain, the Kia Carens’s prices start at Rs. 10.45 lakh and top out at Rs. 17.7 lakh (ex-showroom). The Maruti Arena Brezza’s petrol-manual range costs between Rs. 8.34 lakh and Rs. 12.74 lakh (ex-showroom).
The Carens petrol-automatic is available in 5 variants with prices ranging from Rs. 15.85 lakh to Rs. 18.95 lakh (ex-showroom). The Brezza’s 5 petrol-automatic variants cost between Rs. 11.09 lakh and Rs. 14.14 lakh (ex-showroom).
The 6 diesel-manual variants of the Kia Carens start at Rs. 12.65 lakh and go up to Rs. 18.15 lakh (ex-showroom). The Maruti Suzuki Brezza is not available with a diesel-manual powertrain.
The 4 diesel-automatic variants of the Kia Carens start at Rs. 17.85 lakh and go up to Rs. 19.45 lakh (ex-showroom). The Maruti Suzuki Brezza is not available with a diesel-automatic powertrain.
Kia Carens is not available with a CNG-manual powertrain. The Maruti Suzuki Brezza CNG-manual variants start at Rs. 9.29 lakh and go up to Rs. 12.25 lakh (ex-showroom).

The Kia Carens is an MPV while the Maruti Suzuki Brezza is an SUV. The Carens is 4540mm long, 1800mm wide and 1708mm tall. The Carens’s wheelbase is 2780mm long. The Brezza measures 3995mm long, 1790mm wide and 1685mm tall and has a wheelbase measuring 2500mm. In terms of dimensions, the Kia Carens is significantly larger than the Maruti Suzuki Brezza. So, the Carens will offer a stronger road presence than the Brezza.
The Carens has a ground clearance of 190mm while the Brezza has a ground clearance of 200mm. The 216-litre boot space with 3rd row up, of the Carens is 112 litres smaller than that of the Brezza.
The Kia Carens is available with 2 petrol engines - a 1.5L normal petrol and a 1.5L turbo petrol engine. The 1.5L normal petrol gets a 6-speed manual while the 1.5L turbo petrol is available with a 6-speed auto-clutch manual transmission and a 7-speed DCT automatic transmission.
The 1.5L normal petrol engine of the Carens makes 115PS of power at 6300rpm and 144Nm of torque at 4500rpm. The 1.5L turbo petrol engine in the Kia Carens pushes out 160PS of power at 5500rpm and 253Nm of torque between 1500 and 3500rpm.
The Maruti Suzuki Brezza only gets a 1.5L mild hybrid petrol engine, which is available with a 5-speed manual and 6-speed TC automatic transmission.
The Brezza’s 1.5L mild hybrid petrol engine makes 103PS of power at 6000rpm and 137Nm of torque at 4400rpm.
The Kia Carens also gets a 1.5L turbo diesel engine, which is available with a 6-speed manual and 6-speed automatic TC transmission. The Carens’ turbo diesel engine makes 115PS of power at 4000rpm and 250Nm of torque between 1500 and 2750rpm.
Maruti does not offer any diesel engine options with the Brezza.
The Maruti Suzuki Brezza is also available with a 1.5L normal CNG engine and a 5-speed manual transmission. This engine makes 88PS of power at 6000rpm and 122Nm of torque at 4400rpm.
