    • Toyota Glanza starts at Rs. 6.98 lakh. Glanza G costs Rs. 1.69 lakh more than Tata Altroz's entry-level variant. It has the highest starting price for any B2 hatchback.
    • V is Glanza's most expensive variant with the petrol manual powertrain. It costs Rs. 7.58 lakh and that makes it Rs. 73k cheaper than the most expensive petrol manual B2 hatchback, Hyundai Elite i20 Asta(O).

    • Toyota Glanza petrol automatic starts at Rs. 8.30 lakh. Glanza G costs Rs. 53k more than Maruti Suzuki Baleno's most affordable petrol automatic variant.

    The Glanza’s 1.2-litre normal petrol engine performance is on par for the segment. It makes 83PS of power and 113Nm of torque. Only the Figo and Freestyle have considerably higher power and torque as they make 96PS and 119Nm of power and torque, respectively. The Polo’s 1.0-litre normal petrol engine is the least powerful in the B2 hatchback segment as it only makes 76PS and 95Nm.

    The Toyota Glanza is based on the Maruti Suzuki Baleno so its fuel efficiency figures of 21.01kmpl (MT) and 19.56kmpl (AT) are the best in class and only matched by its twin - Baleno.

    Volkswagen Polo 1.0 turbo petrol engine offers the best torque in this segment, so it is expected to offer better driveability compared to all other cars. If you're looking for a car with low running cost, then Maruti Suzuki Baleno hybrid or Glanza hybrid will be better since they are the most fuel-efficient cars in this segment. In fact, the Glanza hybrid is a much better choice than the Baleno hybrid as it’s Rs. 68,000 cheaper than the Baleno Zeta hybrid. The V variant is based on the Zeta variant of the Baleno.

    • Tata Altroz is the widest car in the segment. It is 10mm wider than Glanza and Baleno.
    • Ford Freestyle is the tallest car in the segment. It is 60mm taller than Glanza.
    • Hyundai i20 has the longest wheelbase in the segment. Its wheelbase is longer than the Glanza’s by 50mm.
    • Honda Jazz has the biggest boot space in the segment. It has 15-lt more boot space than the Glanza.
    • Ford Freestyle's ground clearance of 190mm is the best in the segment.

    Amongst all the B2 hatchbacks, Freestyle has the highest ground clearance, so it should be the last car to bottom-out on uneven roads. Jazz has the biggest boot in the segment, so it can carry maximum luggage.
