Maruti Suzuki Brezza (2022-2026) Pros & Cons

The Maruti Suzuki Brezza is a fuel-efficient SUV but it falls short in front of its competition that offer diesel engines. For instance, the Hyundai Venue, Kia Sonet, Tata Nexon and Mahindra XUV300 offer diesel engines with great fuel efficiency along with the convenience of an automatic transmission as well.

The Brezza ZXI now crosses the Rs. 10 lakh mark and Rs. 11 lakh mark, respectively, for the manual and automatic transmission options. At this price, all the rivals of the new Brezza offer a front armrest. While Maruti Suzuki added feel-good features like an electric sunroof and a head-up display, it skipped on a useful feature like a front armrest. A front armrest enhances driver comfort on long drives.

The automatic variants of the new Brezza command a premium of Rs. 1.50 lakh over the manual counterparts. The price difference is huge by segment standards and with the new Brezza, both the manual and automatic variants come with mild-hybrid as standard. Hence, a price gap of Rs. 1.50 lakh doesn’t seem logical.

With all the new features and tech in the new Brezza, the prices went up drastically. So much so that the new Brezza is now the most expensive B2-Segment SUV in the market. Its rivals offer turbo petrol engines and better features at a similar or lower price tag.

The Maruti Suzuki Brezza currently is the most-expensive B2-SUV but it misses a few features like tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS), automatic wipers, powered driver seat and front ventilated seats.
