2026 Honda City Facelift Spied; New Features Revealed | V3Cars

The upcoming 2026 Honda City facelift was spotted at a dealer yard ahead of its official launch on May 22, revealing several new styling elements and feature additions. While the overall silhouette of Honda’s C-segment sedan remains familiar, the updated City appears to receive enough cosmetic and equipment changes to stay relevant against rivals like the Hyundai Verna, Volkswagen Virtus and Skoda Slavia.

The latest spy shots provide a clearer look at both the exterior and interior updates of the City facelift, including ventilated seats, a larger touchscreen and revised styling.

2026 Honda City Facelift Exterior Updates

2026 Honda City Facelift Front Exterior Design

Up front, the new City gets revised LED projector headlamps featuring a new eyebrow-style connected LED DRL. Honda have also slimmed down the grille and redesigned the front bumper with more gloss black detailing, giving the sedan a sharper and slightly sportier appearance.

Another noticeable change is the removal of the fog lamps from the bumper area. Instead, Honda seem to have opted for a cleaner front-end design with fewer visual elements.

2026 Honda City Facelift Side Exterior Design

From the side, the City facelift retains its familiar profile, although the alloy wheel designs are new. Lower variants appear to get gloss black alloy wheels, while higher trims feature dual-tone machine-cut alloys. The wheel size continues to remain 16 inches.

2026 Honda City Facelift Rear Exterior Design

At the rear, the facelift introduces updated clear-lens LED tail-lamps. The rear bumper has also been mildly redesigned, while the integrated boot-lid spoiler continues to be offered.

Interior Gets Larger Touchscreen And Ventilated Seats

The biggest changes inside the cabin come in the form of new comfort and technology features. The 2026 City facelift now gets ventilated front seats for the first time, helping Honda better compete with feature-rich rivals in the segment.

Spy shots also confirm a larger freestanding touchscreen infotainment system, which is expected to measure 10.25 inches compared to the current model’s 8-inch unit. The new display appears more modern and prominent on the dashboard. However, it does not feature any physical buttons unlike the current model. The 7-inch digital instrument cluster remains untouched. Additionally, the faux wood panel on the dashboard is now replaced with a satin silver panel for a sportier look.

Honda have also added more ambient lighting to the cabin, giving the City a more premium feel. In the current model, the ambient lights were limited to the front door inner handles and front door pockets only. Based on these spy shots, we expect the City facelift to get ambinet lighting elements on the dashboard as well. The seat upholstery has been revised as well and now features perforated inserts to support the ventilation function.

Another major addition is a 360-degree camera system with a front parking camera. Interestingly, Honda have retained the LaneWatch camera mounted on the left outside rearview mirror. This effectively means the left ORVM houses 2 separate cameras.

Still No Powered Seats Or Electronic Parking Brake

Despite the added features, some equipment still remains exclusive to the Honda City e:HEV hybrid variant. The standard City facelift is still expected to miss out on powered front seats and an electronic parking brake.

Honda also appear to have retained the single-zone automatic climate control system instead of upgrading to a dual-zone setup.

Same Petrol And Hybrid Powertrains To Continue

Mechanically, the 2026 City facelift is expected to remain unchanged. The sedan is expected to continue with the same 1.5L normal petrol engine paired with either a 6-speed manual transmission or a CVT automatic. In the current model, this engine produces 121PS of power and 145Nm of torque. It offers a claimed mileage of 17.77kmpl with the manual transmission and 18.4kmpl with the automatic transmission.

The City e:HEV strong hybrid variant is also expected to continue unchanged with its hybrid setup paired with an e-CVT gearbox. It produces 126PS of power and 253Nm of torque and offers a claimed mileage of 27.13kmpl.

With this facelift, Honda appear to be focusing more heavily on improving the City’s feature list, which had started to lag behind its rivals despite the sedan’s strong reputation for refinement, reliability and rear-seat comfort.

The addition of ventilated seats, a larger infotainment screen and a 360-degree camera should help the City remain competitive among buyers prioritising comfort and premium features.
