Tata Motors have revealed the exterior design of 2026 Punch EV facelift ahead of its official launch later this month. This update follows the recent launches of the Punch facelift and the Sierra. The Punch EV facelift gets subtle cosmetic updates, focused mainly on revised plastic elements, while sheet metal remain unchanged.

At the front, the Punch EV facelift gets a reworked fascia with a cleaner, more EV-specific design. The closed-off grille gets a redesign while the bumper now features an updated scuff plate. The most noticeable change is the removal of the black trim piece that connected the headlamps, giving the front end a simpler and more contemporary look. The brand has also removed the light bar connecting the LED DRLs with a gloss black strip. Another update visible in the image released by the brand is the introduction of new aero-optimised alloy wheels, which appear to be inspired by the design used on the Nexon EV.
While Tata Motors are yet to reveal the rear of the Punch EV facelift, we expect it to be similar to the Punch facelift with new elements such as connected LED tail lamps and an updated lower bumper.
Tata have also added a new yellow colour option for the Punch EV facelift. The new colour looks similar to the ‘Sunlit Yellow’ colour option seen on the Harrier. The top variants will continue to offer a black roof as the outgoing model.
Tata Motors have not revealed the interior of the Punch EV facelift yet. However, we expect it to be largely similar to the outgoing version with minor updates. Changes could include new interior colour themes and a larger 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system.
The Punch EV facelift is expected to retain the following features from the outgoing model:
The 2026 Punch EV facelift is expected to retain its existing battery and electric motor options. They include:
The Punch EV equipped with the smaller battery pack is currently offered with an electric motor that produces 82PS of power and 114Nm of torque, while variants equipped with the larger battery pack produce 122PS and 190Nm.
The current Tata Punch EV is priced between Rs. 9.99 lakh and Rs. 14.44 lakh (ex-showroom). With the facelift, we expect Tata to keep prices largely unchanged for the lower variants, while the higher variants could see a small premium. Overall pricing is likely to fall in the Rs. 10 lakh to Rs. 15 lakh range.
In terms of rivals, the Punch EV competes directly with the Citroen EC3 and can be considered as an alternative to the Tata Tiago EV. More details, including the variant-wise features and prices, will be revealed at the official launch later this month.
