Hyundai i20 Era Variant Returns With A Price Tag Of Rs. 5.99 Lakh | V3Cars
Hyundai have officially reintroduced the i20 Era base variant, significantly lowering the hatchback’s entry price to Rs. 5.99 lakh (ex-showroom). This development comes just weeks after we had reported that Hyundai were considering bringing back the discontinued Era variant to make the i20 more affordable.
With this update, Hyundai have widened the i20’s appeal again by offering stronger value at the lower end of the lineup, while retaining its premium positioning in higher variants.
Hyundai i20 Era – What’s New?
Earlier, Hyundai had quietly discontinued the i20 base model following GST price revision, leaving the Magna Executive variant as the most affordable option. With the return of the i20’s base Era variant, the Hyundai hatchback now undercuts its key rival, the Tata Altroz. And matches the Baleno.
Despite being the base variant, the i20 Era comes with features such as:
- 6 airbags
- Digital instrument cluster
- Tilt and telescopic steering wheel
- Front Type-C USB charger
- Faux silver skid plate
- Bloody-coloured ORVMs and door handles
Hyundai i20 Magna Variants Now Marginally Cheaper
Aside from the reintroduction of the Era variant, Hyundai have reduced the prices of the i20 Magna Executive and Magna variants. Here are the prices of the Era, Magna Executive and Magna variants of the i20:
