Hyundai have officially reintroduced the i20 Era base variant, significantly lowering the hatchback’s entry price to Rs. 5.99 lakh (ex-showroom). This development comes just weeks after we had reported that Hyundai were considering bringing back the discontinued Era variant to make the i20 more affordable.
With this update, Hyundai have widened the i20’s appeal again by offering stronger value at the lower end of the lineup, while retaining its premium positioning in higher variants.

Earlier, Hyundai had quietly discontinued the i20 base model following GST price revision, leaving the Magna Executive variant as the most affordable option. With the return of the i20’s base Era variant, the Hyundai hatchback now undercuts its key rival, the Tata Altroz. And matches the Baleno.

Hyundai are also offering a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay as a dealer-installed accessory. Priced at Rs. 15,000, the package includes a rear camera and comes with a 3-year warranty.
