As for safety, Tata Motors have announced that the Punch 2026 has secured a full 5-star rating from Bharat NCAP. The Punch facelift offers 6 airbags, ISOFIX child seat mounts, rear parking sensors, tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS), auto headlamps, rain-sensing wipers and hill descent control, among others.
It’s worth noting that the Tata Punch CNG offers a dual cylinder setup, allowing for a flat boot floor and a boot space of 210 litres. In comparison, the Punch petrol variants offer a 366-litre boot.

The 2026 Punch facelift adopts Tata’s latest design language and takes design inspiration from the Punch EV, Nexon and other Tata SUVs. At the front, the Punch facelift offers slimmer LED daytime running lights (DRLs) connected by a gloss black element. It also offers redesigned LED headlamps and fog lamps. The bumper now carries more pronounced black cladding and a faux silver bullbar, giving the Punch a tougher and more SUV-like stance compared to the outgoing model.
From the side, changes are minimal, with the most noticeable update being a new set of 16-inch alloy wheels. At the rear, the facelift gains connected LED tail lamps with revised lighting elements and a reworked bumper with a faux silver skid plate.

The 2026 Tata Punch continues to rival other small SUVs such as the Hyundai Exter, Citroen C3 and Maruti Suzuki Fronx. The Maruti Suzuki Ignis, Nissan Magnite and Renault Kiger can also be considered as rivals to the Punch facelift.
