Maruti Nexa Grand Vitara Waiting Period Details | V3Cars

We’ve recently learned that the upcoming Nexa Grand Vitara has a waiting period of 22 - 24 weeks — or about 5.5 - 6 months for fresh bookings. It’s also worth noting that the waiting period is consistent for all engine-transmission-variant combinations.

Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara

A 6-month waiting period is still impressive on Maruti Suzuki’s part considering the high demand for cars and production constraints we’ve noticed during the last 12 months or so. Mahindra, for example, are struggling to keep up with the demand and ramping up production. Certain engine-transmission-variant combinations of the XUV700 have a waiting period of up to 2 years.

Maruti Suzuki opened bookings for the Grand Vitara on July 11. Till the end of August, Maruti Suzuki accumulated more than 45,000 bookings.

The Grand Vitara along with its cousin, the Toyota Hyryder, are certainly going to put a dent in the current C-segment SUVs’ sales figures. While the Creta and Seltos are strong enough to sail through, the low-volume SUVs like MG Astor, Skoda Kushaq and Volkswagen Taigun will feel the pressure as choices increase in the C-segment SUV space. The Creta remains the undisputed leader with the Seltos following in its footsteps. The Kushaq, Taigun and Astor have a combined monthly sales figure of around 4,800 units, which is less than half of Creta’s monthly volume.
