July 2022 Cars Sales Analysis - C-Segment SUV YoY, MoM Change, 6-Month Trend | V3Cars

In this July 2022 car sales analysis article, we’ll look at the YoY and MoM change in sales figures of all C-segment SUVs in India. Where applicable, we’ll also include our observations based on the sales data and possible reasons behind a massive increase or drop in sales. Lastly, the table with monthly sales of all C-segment SUVs for the last 6 months will give you an idea about the 6-month sales trend.

Cars Sales Analysis

C-Segment SUV July 2022 Car Sales - YoY Change

  • Just going by the percentage growth, the Hyundai Kona Electric was the top gainer, with 130.4% growth. However, it is worth noting that the Kona Electric is not a high volume offering from this segment
  • Leaving aside low volume cars, the Kia Seltos was the top gainer in high volume cars, with a 22.31% increase in sales compared to July 2021
  • The Hyundai Creta was the only C-segment SUV with a 5-figure sales in July 2022 
  • Among the top losers were the Nissan Kicks and Citroen C5, with a decline of around 37%

C-Segment SUV July 2022 Car Sales - MoM Change

  • The MG ZS EV was the top gainer, with a 32.5% growth in sales compared to June 2022
  • Among high-volume cars, the Kushaq was the top loser, with a 31% MoM decline
  • The Kia Seltos maintains its second spot in July MoM comparison. The Creta, which tops the list, maintained a 5-figure monthly factory dispatch figure
