The Skoda Rapid is available with a 1.6L normal petrol engine paired with either a 5-speed manual transmission or a 6-speed torque converter type automatic transmission. The power and torque output of this engine are 110PS and 155Nm, respectively.

There is a 1.4L turbo petrol engine on offer as well, paired with a 7-speed DCT automatic transmission. The power and torque output of the turbo petrol engine is 125PS and 200Nm, respectively.

There is another 1.6L petrol engine, paired with a 5-speed manual transmission. The power and torque output of the petrol engine is 90PS and 155Nm, respectively. This is a lower tuned version of the 1.6-litre petrol engine.

For the Indian market, we can expect the next-generation Rapid to come with only a 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine and a 6-speed manual transmission.
