The Mahindra XUV 700 5S only gets a 2.0L turbo petrol engine and a 2.2L turbo diesel engine. The 2.0L turbo petrol engine is available with a 6-speed manual and 6-speed TC automatic transmission. The XUV 700 5S’s 2.0L turbo petrol engine makes 200PS of power at 5000rpm and 380Nm of torque between 1750rpm and 3000rpm.

The 2.2L turbo diesel is available with two transmission options – a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission. When equipped with the manual transmission, the 2.2L turbo diesel engine produces 185PS of power at 3500rpm and 420Nm of torque between 1600rpm and 2800rpm. While the power figure remains the same in the 2.2L turbo diesel automatic variants, the torque sees a bump of 30Nm, at 450Nm, between 1750rpm and 2800rpm.
