The Nios is available with BS6 petrol engine and BS4 diesel engine option, and both the engines can be had with either a manual transmission or an AMT. The 1.2-litre petrol engine develops 83PS of maximum power and is available with a 5-speed manual transmission and an AMT. The diesel engine is also a 1.2-litre unit developing 75PS of maximum power. Transmission options for both the engines are the same. The Nios is the second car in Hyundai’s portfolio that comes with an AMT. Certified fuel efficiency for the Grand i10 is as follows:

The Nios is the first Hyundai car that comes with variable warranty. The car can be covered for 3 years/1lakh km or 4 years/50,000 km or 5 years/40,000km based on running cost. In India, the Nios competes against the likes of the Maruti Suzuki Swift, Ford Figo and Hyundai Grand i10. Deliveries of the Nios will start soon.
