The 2027 Auto Expo will take place at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi, from February 4 - 9, 2027. No carmaker has announced their display lineup yet. However, several upcoming cars and concepts fit the event’s timing. Here are the cars we currently expect to see, along with global models that are unlikely to come to the show.

Update (August 14, 2026): We have added the first list of cars expected at Auto Expo 2027. The organisers have announced the dates, timings and venue. Carmaker participation and individual display lineups remain unconfirmed.
No specific car or SUV is confirmed for Auto Expo 2027 yet.
The following table lists the cars and concepts that currently make the most sense for Auto Expo 2027:
The 3rd-generation Hyundai Creta is expected to go on sale around March 2027. This places its reveal close to the February 2027 Auto Expo.
Test cars suggest the new Creta will be larger than the current SUV. Reports also indicate that Hyundai could add a strong hybrid powertrain. However, Hyundai have not confirmed either the Auto Expo debut or the hybrid option.
Honda have confirmed that the production version of the 0 Alpha electric SUV will go on sale in India and Japan in 2027.
The Auto Expo provides Honda with a suitable platform to introduce the production model to Indian buyers. However, Honda Cars did not participate in the 2025 Auto Expo. Its participation in the 2027 edition remains unconfirmed.
Tata say the first Avinya electric vehicle will reach the market by 2027. This makes a production-ready Avinya an important potential Auto Expo display.
The final vehicle could take inspiration from the Avinya X or another member of the concept family. Tata have not confirmed the first model's body style or its Auto Expo appearance.
Mahindra showcased the Vision S concept in August 2025. Our product lifecycle estimate for the Vision S points to a possible 2027 introduction.
That timeline makes Auto Expo 2027 a logical venue for Mahindra to display a near-production version. However, Mahindra have not confirmed its appearance at the show.
Hyundai’s luxury brand, Genesis, will enter India in 2027. This makes Auto Expo 2027 a natural venue for the brand’s public introduction.
The GV70 and GV80 SUVs appear to be the most relevant models for India. However, Hyundai have not announced the Genesis India lineup.
The Renault Duster 7-seater is undergoing tests in India. It is expected to go on sale in late 2026 or early 2027. Even if Renault introduce it before the show, the 3-row SUV should remain an important display model.
Audi plan to introduce the A5 in the first half of 2027. The Q9 flagship SUV is expected to follow in the second half. Audi’s India product push makes both models suitable Auto Expo exhibits, provided Audi participate in the show.
Several cars shown at international motor shows may seem destined for India. However, an Indian design patent, trademark or speculative launch listing does not confirm an India launch.
The next table lists global debuts that we do not expect at Auto Expo 2027:
The Hyundai Boulder is the clearest example of online speculation getting ahead of the manufacturer.
Hyundai describe the Boulder as a design study connected to an American body-on-frame programme. Its architecture is expected to underpin a midsize pickup developed and produced in the US.
A design patent registration only protects the design in India. It does not confirm production, an India launch or an Auto Expo appearance.
Auto Expo 2027 will operate under the wider Bharat Mobility Global Expo.
Note: Carmakers generally announce their Auto Expo lineups closer to the event. We will update this story whenever a model or manufacturer confirms participation.
