Rumour — Audi India Likely To Launch Q3 Facelift In September 2022 | V3Cars

Audi India are likely to launch the Q3 facelift in September 2022. The Q3 was one of the best-selling Audi models in India. However, Audi India were forced to take it off the shelves when BS6 emission norms came into effect. Since then, Audi India shifted to a petrol-only range and the new Q3 is also likely to come with a petrol engine only.

Audi Q3 Facelift

Audi launched the Q3 facelift back in 2018 and we are likely to receive this version in India later this year. The Q3 facelift features a refreshed design and an updated list of features. Up front, the Q3 facelift gets a bigger trapezoidal single frame grille with vertical slats. It also gets Audi’s signature LED DRL pattern that’s reserved for the carmaker’s Q range of SUVs.

On the inside, the new Q3 gets a revised dashboard layout. It gets Audi’s updated MMI touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, along with a new digital driver’s display, which Audi like to call ‘Virtual Cockpit’. Other changes include repositioned AC vents, flat-bottomed steering wheel and new switchgear.

On the powertrain front, the India-spec Audi Q3 is likely to come with a 2.0L turbo petrol engine with the quattro all-wheel-drive system. This is the same powertrain found in the Audi Q2, in which it produces 190PS of power at 4200rpm and 320Nm of torque at 1500rpm. We expect the  7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission from the Q2 to be carried over as well.

Audi Q3

When launched, the Audi Q3 will rival other compact premium SUVs, such as the BMW X1, Volvo XC40, and Mercedes-Benz GLA. We expect Audi to undercut its rivals, as the latter have stepped into newer generations. Mercedes-Benz launched the new-gen GLA in India last year whereas BMW India will soon bring the new-gen X1.
