Maruti Suzuki India launches 'IT’S UNBELIEVABLE. IT’S STRONG HYBRID.' campaign, showcasing Grand Vitara and Invicto. Focused on Strong Hybrid technology, it highlights eco-friendliness, fuel efficiency, and regenerative braking. The TVC emphasizes Maruti Suzuki's commitment to sustainability and efficient driving.

Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FICCI) recently organised an Electric Mobility roundtable in New Delhi. Maruti Suzuki sponsored the event and Mr. Rahul Bharti represented India’s largest carmaker at the forum. In stark contrast to the theme of the event, in his speech, Mr. Bharti, executive director of corporate affairs at Maruti Suzuki, underscored the need to not marry the idea of electric mobility to achieve the goal of sustainable mobility. Maruti Suzuki launched the Nexa premium sub-brand in 2015. Since its launch, Maruti Nexa have sold 2 million cars in India. Maruti Nexa now contribute 20% of Maruti Suzuki India Limited’s (MSIL) total sales.

Suzuki have partnered with Inmotive to develop a 2-speed electric vehicle transmission for a future Suzuki EV. The agreement outlines the joint development of the transmission, with Inmotive bringing its expertise to the table. Inmotive is based in Ontario, Canada and the development project is aimed at enhancing the performance of Suzuki's upcoming electric cars.

Suzuki Motor Corporation, the parent company of Maruti Suzuki India Limited (MSIL), have released their EV roadmap for the global market and the Indian market figures heavily in it. Suzuki plan to launch 6 battery electric vehicles (BEV) in India by FY2030. The teaser image of the 6  upcoming Maruti electric vehicles for India suggest one of the models will be the Fronx EV. The Fronx was unveiled at the recently concluded 2023 Auto Expo. Currently, it is offered with 2 petrol engines – a 1.0L turbo petrol an a 1.2L normal petrol.
