The Compass facelift features updated aesthetics. It looks sharper than before. Upfront, it gets sleeker headlamps flanking the new grille. The side and rear profile remains largely unchanged. Jeep will offer two new exterior colours on the Compass facelift -- Techno Metallic Green and Galaxy Blue.
On the inside, it receives a major overhaul. It gets a new 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system, updated central console and a new steering wheel. Features on offer include wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto support, panoramic sunroof, LED headlamps, digital instrument cluster, wireless mobile charging, dual-zone AC, powered tailgate, 360-degree camera and connected car tech. Safety features on offer include up to 6 airbags, ABS with EBD, electronic stability control, traction control and hill launch assist.
Under the hood, the Compass facelift will carry forward the same engines as before. It gets a 2.0-litre diesel engine making 170PS and 350Nm mated to either a 6-speed MT or a 9-speed torque converter automatic. The petrol engine, on the other hand, is a 1.4-litre turbocharged engine making 163PS and 250Nm mated to a 6-speed MT and a 7-speed DCT automatic. The Compass facelift will continue to come with a 4WD option, but with the diesel engine only.
Prices of the Jeep Compass facelift are expected to start around Rs 16 lakh. It will take on the likes of the Tata Harrier, Hyundai Tucson and the Mahindra XUV500.
