In the modern Indian automotive landscape, safety has become a top priority for car buyers. But finding a car that combines safety with an affordable price tag can be a challenge. Thankfully, the days when 6 airbags were exclusive to premium segments are long gone. Today, an increasing number of manufacturers are offering this essential safety feature in their more accessible models.
If you're searching for the most affordable cars with 6 airbags in India, this comprehensive guide is for you. We’ve compiled a list of the top 5 budget-friendly cars that provide this must-have safety feature to help you make a well-informed decision without stretching your budget.
1. Maruti Suzuki Alto K10 (Rs. 4.23 lakh - Rs. 6.21 lakh)
In March 2025, Maruti Suzuki updated the Alto K10 with 3 safety upgrades. Apart from the addition of 6 airbags on all variants, the 2025 Alto K10 also offers 3-point seatbelts for all passengers and luggage retention crossbars.
Other safety features of the Alto K10 include a collapsible steering column, electronic stability program (ESP), reverse parking sensors, ABS with EBD, rear door child lock, engine immobiliser, high-speed alert, front seatbelts with pretensioners and load limiters, seatbelt reminder, headlamp leveling, and a high-mount stop lamp.
The Alto K10 is available with 2 engine and 2 transmission options. Buyers get to choose from a 1L normal petrol engine that produces 69PS of power and 91Nm of torque and a 1L CNG bi-fuel engine that produces 57PS and 82Nm. The petrol variants of the Alto K10 are available with either a 5-speed manual or 5-speed automated manual transmission (AMT), while the CNG variants are limited to the 5-speed manual.
The Alto K10 rivals the Renault Kwid and Maruti Suzuki S-Presso, both of which do not offer 6 airbags in any of their variants.
