Honda have announced an new product roadmap for India, confirming plans to launch 10 new models in India by 2030, including 7 SUVs. The announcement was made during the Japan Mobility Show 2025. The new product roadmap should help the manufacturer regain lost ground in the Indian marker and align with the country’s growing appetite for SUVs. Honda Cars India have secured E20 compliance certificates for the 2025 Elevate, City, City Hybrid and the new Amaze 2025. Honda secured the certification ahead of the roll out of E20 fuel across the country by April 1, 2025. Honda say their latest achievement highlights their commitment to sustainable mobility and supporting India’s transition to greener and cleaner transportation.

Honda Cars India have introduced the 'Honda Collection,' an official merchandise line, showcasing a variety of items such as T-shirts, jackets, and caps. Designed to complement the modern lifestyle of Honda enthusiasts, the collection combines functionality with aesthetics.

We recently learned from a source that Honda are preparing to launch a new C-segment SUV to rival the Hyundai Creta and Kia Seltos just ahead of the festive season in 2023. While Honda have discontinued the WRV, Jazz and the City 4th gen, the new SUV add to the options for car buyers. Currently, Honda only sell 2 sedans in India — the Amaze and the City 5th generation. This is disadvantageous for Honda, considering that the trend is favouring SUVs as they bring in bigger profit margins because of higher demand. With the start of the new financial year, Honda also removed the diesel engine options from their portfolio.

Fans of Honda’s cars can rejoice! In an interview with ET Auto, Kunal Behl, the vice president of sales and marketing, Honda Cars India, confirmed the carmaker’s plan to launch 1 new car every year until 2028.

After the launch of the City facelift earlier this month, Honda are gearing up to reveal their upcoming B2-segment SUV for the Indian market. The upcoming Honda B2-segment SUV, which will rival the likes of the Tata Nexon and Maruti Arena Brezza, will make its global debut in mid-2023.

On March 15, 2023, Honda announced their tie up with India’s tech firm KPIT Technologies. The technology support will help Honda build software-defined vehicles. KPIT announced that they will add more vehicle systems software development experts to meet Honda’s requirements. KPIT will have 2,000 highly-skilled software engineers with expertise in vehicle software development by the end of this decade (2030).
